Add Sticker Maker to your iPhone
30 seconds, no App Store.
Sticker Maker is a web app — Safari saves it to your Home Screen and it
opens full-screen like any other app. Free forever.
1. Install the app (one time)
- Open this page in Safari (not Chrome — Safari is the
only browser that can add to Home Screen on iOS).
- Tap the Share button at
the bottom of Safari.
- Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen”.
- Tap Add. The Stickers icon appears on your Home Screen.
From now on, tap the icon to open the app full-screen.
2. Make a sticker
Turn any photo, screenshot, or meme into a sticker. Perfect for a
chess.com "Blunder" badge, a hilarious screenshot of your friend's
text, or any image you want to drop into iMessage.
- Open the app and tap Choose photo. Pick any
image — screenshot, photo, meme, anything.
- Erase the background. You have three tools:
- Magic wand: tap any pixel and it removes
everything matching that color. Great for flat backgrounds like
white, app screenshots, or solid colors. Adjust tolerance
higher to grab more similar pixels per tap.
- Eraser: drag to manually wipe pixels. Use this
to clean up edges the wand misses.
- Restore: drag to bring back pixels you erased
by mistake.
- (Optional) Tap Auto-remove bg for AI subject
isolation. First tap downloads a ~30 MB model to your phone — after
that it runs offline. Best for photos with people, animals, or
objects against a busy background.
- (Optional) Tap Crop to subject to tighten the
sticker around what's left.
- Tap Save / Share → Save Image.
Everything happens on your phone. Photos never leave the
device. There's no upload, no server, no account.
3. Add it to your iPhone sticker collection
iOS 17+ lifts subjects from any photo into a real sticker — no extra
app needed.
- Open Photos and find the sticker you just saved.
- Long-press directly on the subject (1 second).
iOS lifts it — you'll see a shimmer around the edge.
- A menu pops up. Tap “Add Sticker”.
- That's it. The sticker now lives in your system sticker drawer —
available in iMessage, Mail, Notes, anywhere stickers go.
Tip: the sticker is exported with a bright lime-green
background. That's intentional — iOS's subject-lift model needs a
clear foreground/background contrast to fire, and lime green is the
easiest possible separation. The green never makes it into the
finished sticker; iOS lifts the subject and discards everything else.
Using your stickers in Messages
- Open Messages, tap the + next to the text box.
- Tap Stickers.
- Your stickers appear under “Your Stickers”. Tap to
send, or long-press and drag the sticker onto an
existing message bubble to attach it to a specific message — perfect
for slapping a "Blunder" sticker onto your friend's horrendous take.
Why does this app work without the App Store?
Sticker Maker is a Progressive Web App (PWA). It's a normal website that
Safari can save to your Home Screen. When you tap the icon, it opens
full-screen with no browser chrome — indistinguishable from a native
app for what this does. It runs entirely on your phone; nothing is
uploaded, nothing is stored on a server.
